Brooklyn Castle

This documentary spends most of its time following the success of one particular middle school in Brooklyn that wins many regional and national chess competitions. The last part of the film turns into a plea for help to save the chess program from budget cuts. But the film fails to suggest a solution, it only whines from the potential loss. The obvious problem is the down turn of the economy and the cut backs in every walks of life. I failed to sympathize with the films plight.
